When pro golfer Kristin Halstead turns up murdered, Detectives Rex Winters and Tomas "TJ" Jaruszalski quickly discover clues leading them to married pro golfer Chip Jarrow. However, after a suspicious event occurs between Chip and his wife Monica, it's up to Deputy District Attorney's Dekker and Stanton to uncover the truth.

Season 12 Episode 8
FBI Agent Dana Lewis is assaulted by a stranger and asks Detective Benson to have her rape kit tested. Before the cops can really help her, Lewis goes back undercover and refuses to talk about the assignment or the rape, for fear that she will be exposed and pulled off the case. She reluctantly allows Benson and Stabler to get involved in what looks like a protest against the construction of a mosque at Ground Zero, but they find themselves scrambling to put the pieces together of a much larger puzzle than they had anticipated.

The mystery surrounding the stabbing of student, Archie Rahman, has our cops chasing their tails when the only clue they have to go on is a library book checked out on the day of his murder. Two students connected to the book have given an alibi for each other but one of them is lying and it’s down to our cops to find out which one. When the perpetrator eventually confesses and claims to have acted in self-defence, Alesha is forced to face past demons. It’s a delicate balancing act for James who is tasked not only with prosecuting the offender but also with defending a dead victim. Unless the truth of what happened that day is uncovered, a murderer could walk free or an innocent victim be wrongly convicted.
