Clyde and Rani awake to find they are the only humans on Earth, even Sarah Jane Smith has vanished. But the Earth is not deserted, stalking the streets of London, strange forces gather.

With Maria’s father turned to stone by The Gorgon, Sarah Jane is left with a further dilemma as the Nuns seize control of the Amulet and prepare to open a portal that will release the remainder of the Gorgon’s race. Sarah and her team are later captured themselves, and Sarah faces the prospect of becoming the new host to an enduring and terrifying alien mind.
